Poem: The Helmet

sunflower 3

Maybe I should wear a helmet

on my heart

like you do

in the shower

guarding your nakedness

and you from falling

falling

while in bed

where the story is too long

and still, at times

hard

very

But other times

it’s just a field of sunflowers

passing by

Poems : Morning Moments

The end of the dock
Morning does rise so sweetly
I watch as day breaks

image

The night’s eye still looks
Watching red hue paint the day
Then moon sleeps again

image

Quietly it dawns
Gentle ripples lap and blush
Like a new lover

image

A different sun
Smile your happy face to us
And bring joy to all

image

Pink pail left behind
Captures sunrise tender rays
To spill rose beauty
