Poem: Crash Landing

Blood and albumin

pulled into a syringe

holding the life force

and skirting extraneous aspects of belief

Dodging a bullet

others take the blow to the head

but come out unchanged

While I fill my veins with The Tempest’s smack

and wake where

Dorothy sang

    1. What I love about poetry is that everyone really has the opportunity to interpret it in their own way that makes sense to them. Sometimes mine is a bit obscure, I admit, and I try to not make it that way, but it can’t be helped I guess. I subscribe to a poetry website where I receive a poem a day. For the more modern ones, the poet will explain the inspiration for the poem and often times I don’t even understand the explanation! 🙂
