Poem: Burial

I arise from the dead!

See

where my picked and earthy bones

lay

Buried sweetly

a newly made meal

for

Mother, wrapped in loamy warmth

Going willingly

from where I came

and giving myself

back

When it is done

then I become

the next passers-by

No longer gone

but now anew

my spirit passing

on

    1. We can get some nice sunrises. This poem is about a TED talk about ecologic burial that I heard. It was quite interesting and something I hope becomes more prevalent by the time my time comes…
