Poem: Alone?

They come from afar

Not to conquer but to observe

From heaven’s gate

Silent intruders

Drifting above steady seekers

and diehard disbelievers

Infiltrating the cracks of truth

From where do they come?

The recesses of our own

Beckoning minds

Or do we know

As we lay shuttered in our beds

That really

We are not

Alone
