Poem : A Dog’s Good Love

A dog’s good love
Comes softly on a weeping night
When my chest has that feeling
Of 100 brick layers
Somehow on the arched bridge of my bones
That little wet nose
Mixes up with oceans of tears
Leaving rivers and red
And taking nothing in return
No words
Are necessary
But soft warm knowing
Padding with clicking toes
And wagging tail
Only you seem to carry peace
Yet study not
It’s in your soul
You sense my pain
A true gift I’m blessed
A dog’s good love

  1. Your furry friend is adorable. Hang in there. Spring will come, and there will be light at the end of this long tunnel.
